NEW POLICY FOR EVISA FROM 15 AUGUST 2023
Vietnam issues electronic visas to foreigners with a period of 90 days (e-Visa 3 months), visas are valid once or multiple times;
According to new regulations issued from August 15, 2023, Vietnam officially extended the time limit for granting electronic visas (E-Visa) to a maximum of 3 months (90 days) for foreigners. This marks an important step forward in attracting tourism and investment to the country, and at the same time creating more favorable conditions for foreign citizens who want to come to Vietnam for various purposes such as tourism, visiting personal, commercial, investment and many other purposes. .
Previously, electronic visas (E-Visa) in Vietnam were only granted with a maximum duration of 1 month (30 days). However, with new changes in policy, foreigners can safely plan longer trips or business trips in Vietnam without short-term visa extension.
Temporary residence
Vietnam extends the time limit for granting temporary residence certification period at the border gate for unilaterally visa exemption category from 15 days to 45 days.
Starting from March 15, 2022 according to Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP, Vietnam implements visa exemption for citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russia, and Japan. , Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belarus with each entry to Vietnam not exceeding 15 days.
Pursuant to the new provisions in the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the “Law on entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam”, from August 15, 2023, those countries that is unilaterally exempted from visa – The entry time to Vietnam is up to 45 days, 3 times higher than the previous period of 15 days.
